Long Lashes

Comprehensive Eye Exam

A comprehensive eye exam is more than just checking for glasses —it’s a full evaluation of your vision and eye health. First, we work with you to find the prescription that best suits your vision needs and lifestyle. Then, we carefully examine the health of your eyes, both inside and out.

The health of your eyes can tell us a lot about your overall well-being. During this part of the exam, we look for early signs of conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, autoimmune diseases, and even certain cancers or tumors. Whether you're a child, adult, or senior, routine eye exams protect your vision, support eye comfort and safety in everyday activities. We also screen for eye-specific issues such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal tears or detachments—often before you notice any symptoms.

Contact Lenses

Contact Lens Evaluation

Everyone’s eyes are unique, and so are their vision needs. During a contact lens evaluation, we take the time to find the lenses that fit your eyes, lifestyle, and visual demands best—whether you’re reading, working on a computer, or playing sports.

We carefully assess how the lenses fit, how comfortable they feel, and how clearly you see. For first-time wearers, we include training on how to insert and remove your lenses. Follow-up visit is also part of your evaluation to make sure everything is working well and that you’re happy with your contacts. A glasses prescription is always included with your contact lens evaluation, since it’s important to have a reliable backup option when wearing contact lenses.

Diabetic Eye Exam

If you have diabetes, getting a yearly eye exam is essential—even if your vision seems fine. Diabetes can cause a condition called diabetic retinopathy, which is the leading cause of blindness in adults. Unfortunately, it often doesn’t show symptoms until damage has already been done.

During your diabetic eye exam, we’ll carefully check for any signs of changes or damage in your eyes related to diabetes. We’ll monitor your eye health over time and send a detailed report to your primary care doctor or endocrinologist to help keep your overall care connected and on track. Regular exams help protect your vision and give us a chance to catch problems early—before they become serious.
